Summer Speed Through the National Park

The Summer Hill Climb returns to the same spectacular 1.5-kilometre course through Noosa National Park — but in Queensland's warm November sunshine, the experience takes on a whole new character.

With 14 tight and sweeping cambered corners and a fully sealed bitumen surface, it's a technically demanding course that rewards precision driving from novices and experienced competitors alike. All vehicle classes and experience levels are welcome.

What You Need to Enter

The Noosa Hill Climb is a Motorsport Australia sanctioned event. All competitors must meet the following requirements before entering.

Licensing

A valid Motorsport Australia SPEED licence is required to compete. You must also be a financial member of a Motorsport Australia-affiliated club.

MA SPEED Licence — $155/year
  • NBCCC membership satisfies the affiliated club requirement
  • Day licences may be available — contact the event organiser

Vehicle Requirements

All competing vehicles must conform to Motorsport Australia Technical Appendix Schedules A & B. Required safety equipment includes:

  • 1kg fire extinguisher (mounted and accessible)
  • Front and rear tow points with marked triangles
  • Battery location indicator
  • Third-party insurance extension certificate (QLD-registered vehicles)
  • Frontal head restraint (formula cars and logbook vehicles)

Apparel & Timing

Safety apparel requirements for all competitors:

  • Compliant helmet (AS1698 standard)
  • Non-flammable clothing — ankles to neck to wrists
  • Closed footwear (leather boots preferred)

Timing Transponder: Westhold transponders required. Hire available on the day for $30, or bring your own.

With grandstand seating at key viewing areas and multiple spots along the course, you'll get up-close views of real competitive motorsport in a stunning natural setting.

To compete you need a Motorsport Australia SPEED licence and membership of an affiliated club. The Noosa Beach Classic Car Club satisfies both requirements and costs just $75/year.
